Couples renew vows at Lovers Key beachside ceremony on Valentine's Day
Forty-three couples clutched hands in the morning sunshine on a white sandy beach at Lovers Key State Park as they leaned in for kisses that sealed their wedding vow renewals.
“Go now in peace, for you have been given the greatest of all gifts — true love," said Rev. Heather Desrocher, who led the ceremony for a circle of married partners on Valentine's Day, an annual tradition at the site.
A tear streaked down Marilynn Weaver’s face as she and her husband Ronnie walked away from the circle.
“We eloped 10 years ago,” said Marilynn Weaver, “We never had an official marriage (ceremony). This was our beautiful Florida wedding.” Read more →
